 PELHAM ROAD BLOOD BANK

Our first blood bank is scheduled for today, 1-5 p.m. in the Family Life Center. We have had a good response to our first drive. We will have another one later this year.  The Blood Connection of Greenville needs 319 donors a day to meet the demand. Remember, one blood donation gives three people a fighting chance at life. It’s about life!  Thank you to all who have signed up to participate.

GOLF OUTING, SUNDAY, APRIL 29 There will be a golf outing on Sunday, April 29, at Lakeview Golf Club. The starting time will be at 1:30 P.M.; the cost is $31.50 per player which includes cart and tax. If you would like to play, see the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board outside the church office. Sign up by April 22.

SHOWER There will be a shower on Sunday, April 22, from 3:30 to 4:30 in the Sonshine Café for Jacob and Jennifer Pegg. Jacob has been a part of our church family all his life. He and Jennifer have been married a little over a year. They both have serving with our Armed Forces, both at home and overseas. They have recently relocated to the Greenville area. This will be a time to welcome them home and express our good wishes for their future.

CONSIGNMENT SALE Start sorting and saving your valuables for the annual youth consignment sale. The sale will be April 28 in the Family Life Center. You split your profits with the youth 50/50.

Broadway Musical Lion King is coming to Charlotte.

If you are interested in seeing the Lion King during the first weeks of August, please let Sam know. A possible date is Saturday afternoon, Aug. 18. Tickets are around $75. We will try to go for a group rate lower price. This is a phenomenal show that children and adults will love.

LOOKING AHEAD: Sunday, April 29 is a 5th Sunday. We will have one service at 10:30 A.M. There will be no Sunday School. A pot luck lunch will follow.

IN APPRECIATION –

Dear Church Family,

I would like to express my gratitude for all the support you have shown me and my girls during my father’s illness and death. We would not have made it through this difficult time without the love and support from friends like the ones we have here at Pelham Road. We are truly blessed to be a part of such a caring and loving church family. Please continue to remember us in your prayers as we continue to learn how to deal with our loss.

Dear Church Family,

I would like to take this time to thank you all so much for your love, prayers, concern, and the many love offerings on my behalf. It means a lot to know that in times like this I have a church family like you.

                                    Thanks Again,

                                    Marjorie Pegg

THANKS TO CROSS STITCH PARTICIPANTS:

Dear Friends,

Your cross stitch gifts have arrived in Athens. Thank you on behalf of all the Albanians who will receive these gifts on their first visit to the Albania House in Athens. Your generous gifts will encourage these immigrant people and remind them of God’s love for them. We appreciate your efforts and the people it will serve.

We thank God for you and for your partnership in this challenging ministry in Athens. Surely, god has called you to work alongside us in this effort to extend the love of Christ to the Albanian immigrants.

                                    Godspeed!
